Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use Movista at movista.pro — when you create an account, buy credits and have films made. You agree to them when you sign up. The short version is right below; the numbered sections are the full terms.
In short
- Movista turns your website into short films. Previews and storyboards are free; films cost credits.
- You get credits with a monthly plan or a one-time credit pack. 1 credit is 1 second of film in one format, and the exact price of every film is shown before you start it.
- Plans renew every month until you cancel. You can cancel any time; it takes effect at the end of the billing period. Unused plan credits carry over one billing period, pack credits are valid for 12 months.
- If we can't finish a film, the credits come back to your account automatically.
- Once a film is delivered, you can use it for any purpose, worldwide, without time limit.
- Within 14 days of buying a credit pack or starting a plan, you can get your money back for the credits from that purchase you haven't used (see our refund policy).
1. Who we are
Movista is a service of askVela Limited, 56 Grange View, England, LS7 4ER, registered with Companies House (England & Wales) under company number 15385733 ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@movista.pro.
2. Who can use Movista
Movista is made for businesses — companies, founders, freelancers and agencies. Consumers are welcome too. A consumer is an individual who uses Movista for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. You must be at least 18 years old to use Movista.
If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in continue to apply, and nothing in these terms limits them. Sections that treat consumers differently say so.
If you accept these terms for a company or another organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so; "you" then means that organisation.
3. What Movista does
- Free preview. Enter the address of a public website and we show you the brand kit we find there: logo, colours, fonts and screenshots. Free previews are limited in number.
- Brand kits. With an account you can save and edit brand kits and add your own logo and images — for example screens behind a login.
- Storyboards. With an account we draft the scenes of your film for free. You can edit, regenerate and approve them.
- Films. Short motion-design films in five types, eight styles and four formats (16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5), in seven languages, with music and sound design and, if you choose, a voice-over with captions. Films are delivered as MP4 files (H.264 video, AAC audio) with 1080 pixels on the short side, together with a poster image and, for films with a voice-over, caption files (WebVTT and SRT).
The film types, lengths, styles, voices and other options available when you start a film are described in the app and on the pricing page. That description is part of these terms.
4. Your account
You need an account to save brand kits, generate storyboards, buy credits and have films made. You sign up with your e-mail address and a password, or with Google where that option is shown. You can also ask for a one-time sign-in link by e-mail.
- An account belongs to one person or one company. Give us accurate details and keep your e-mail address up to date — we send sign-in links, confirmations and news about your films there.
- Keep your password secret, don't use it for other services and don't share your access with anyone outside your company. If you think someone else has access to your account, change your password and tell us at hello@movista.pro straight away.
- You are responsible for what is done through your account, unless the misuse was caused by us.
- You need a verified e-mail address to buy credits and to create films.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting it ends a running plan, deletes your brand kits, previews and films and removes your credits. If you are still within the 14 days described in our refund policy, ask for your refund before you delete the account.
5. Credits
Films and extra revision rounds are paid with credits. You get credits with a monthly plan (section 6) or a credit pack (section 7). Your balance and the expiry dates of your credits are shown in your account under Billing.
- Plan credits are valid for the billing period they are added for and the following one: unused plan credits carry over one billing period, then they expire.
- Pack credits are valid for 12 months from the day of purchase.
- Returned credits (for example after a failed production) keep their original expiry date. If that date has already passed, they are valid for another 30 days.
- Credits we add free of charge are valid until the date shown in your account; if no date is shown, they don't expire.
When you use credits, the ones that expire soonest are used first. Expired credits are lost. Credits have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money except as a refund under these terms, our refund policy or the law, can only be used on Movista and can't be transferred to another account.
6. Plans
Plans (Starter, Pro and Studio) are monthly subscriptions. Each plan adds a set number of credits for every billing period; films of Pro and Studio customers are produced with priority, which shortens the wait in the queue but is not a guaranteed delivery time. Prices and credits per plan are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. You can have one plan at a time, and you can buy credit packs with or without a plan.
- Renewal. A plan starts when your first payment is confirmed and renews automatically every month until you cancel it. Each renewal is charged to the payment method you used, and the credits for the new period are added once the renewal payment has been received.
- Upgrade. When you move to a bigger plan, the change takes effect immediately: you are charged the full monthly price of the new plan, a new billing period starts that day, and the new plan's credits are added. The remaining time of your previous plan is not paid back in money; all credits you already have stay in your account with their expiry dates.
- Downgrade. When you move to a smaller plan, the change takes effect at your next renewal. Until then you keep your current credits; from that renewal on you pay the new price and receive the new plan's credits.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in your account under Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: there are no further charges, the plan stays active until then, and your remaining credits stay usable until they expire. Until the period ends you can resume the plan. We don't refund the rest of a billing period (see our refund policy).
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Dodo Payments may try again. Until it succeeds, your plan is on hold and no new credits are added. If the payment can't be collected, the plan ends.
- Price changes. We may change the price or the credits of a plan for future billing periods. We tell you by e-mail at least 30 days before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before it takes effect. If you are a consumer and the law of your country requires your express agreement to a price increase, we only apply it with your agreement.
7. Credit packs
Credit packs are one-time purchases of credits — no subscription, no renewal. You can buy them with or without a plan. Pack credits are valid for 12 months from the day of purchase. The available packs and their prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout.
8. Prices and payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments, which is the merchant of record for all purchases on Movista. Dodo Payments takes the payment, charges and accounts for VAT and other sales taxes, issues invoices and receipts and handles payment questions. Dodo Payments' terms for buyers apply to the payment itself. These terms govern everything else between you and us — your account, credits, films and the licence.
- Prices are in euros and include VAT where VAT applies. The final amount, including any tax, is shown at checkout before you pay.
- The contract for a plan or a credit pack is concluded when your payment is confirmed. The credits appear in your account as soon as Dodo Payments has confirmed the payment to us.
- At checkout we ask for the declaration about immediate access to your credits described in section 20.
- Invoices and your payment method are managed in the Dodo Payments customer portal, which you can open from Billing.
9. What a film costs
A film costs credits according to its length, the number of formats and whether it has a voice-over:
- 1 credit per second of film in one format;
- each additional format adds 50 %;
- a voice-over adds 25 %;
- the result is rounded up to a whole credit.
For example, a 15-second Feature Clip in one format costs 15 credits, a 30-second Launch Film in 16:9 and 9:16 costs 45 credits, and a 60-second Product Tour in two formats with a voice-over costs 113 credits. Music, sound design, captions and the storyboard are included.
The exact number of credits is shown on the review step before you start a film, and that is the number we deduct when production starts. Revision rounds beyond those included in the film type (section 11) cost 5 credits each.
10. Making a film
You choose a brand kit, the film type and length, the formats, a style, music, the language and, if you like, a voice-over, and you can add a brief. You can generate a storyboard and edit its texts. When you approve a storyboard, the film follows its scenes and texts. If you skip the storyboard, we write the story for you; films with a voice-over always use a storyboard you have approved, so you know the script before production starts.
- Start. Production starts when you confirm the review step. At that moment you give the declaration quoted in section 14 and the credits are deducted.
- Timing. The first cut usually arrives within 24 hours of the start of production. This is a typical time, not a fixed deadline — it can take longer when many films are in the queue or a production needs a second attempt. We e-mail you when it is ready. If no first cut has arrived within 72 hours, you can ask us to stop the production, and we return the credits.
- Length. The running time may differ slightly from the length you chose: by up to 2.5 seconds for films of up to 20 seconds, and by up to 10 % for longer films. With a voice-over, the film follows the narration within that range.
- Creative interpretation. A film is our creative interpretation of your website, brand kit, brief and storyboard. We can't promise a particular look, scene or wording beyond what you set in the storyboard and ask for in revisions.
- Declining. We may decline or stop a production — for example if the website can't be reached, the material can't be used for a film, or the content breaks section 16. If we do, the credits come back.
- Check before you publish. Please review every film before you publish it, in particular all statements, prices and claims in it. You decide what you publish and where.
11. Revisions, approval and delivery
Each film type includes revision rounds:
- Feature Clip (10 or 15 seconds): 1 revision round
- Social Ad (15 or 20 seconds): 1 revision round
- Launch Film (30 or 45 seconds): 2 revision rounds
- Product Tour (45 or 60 seconds): 2 revision rounds
- Explainer (45 or 60 seconds, always with a voice-over): 2 revision rounds
Every further round costs 5 credits, deducted when you request it. A revision round is one written request to change the existing film — for example texts, voice-over lines, timing, colours, the order of scenes or which screens are shown. Changing the film type, length, formats or style, or asking for a different story, is a new film; you can start one from the film page with the same settings.
After each version you can approve the film or request changes in your account. When you approve a version, the film is delivered. If you neither approve nor request changes within 14 days after we made the latest version available, that version counts as approved and the film is delivered.
You can download your films — every format, the poster and, with a voice-over, the caption files — in your account. Films stay available there for 12 months after delivery and are then deleted (see our privacy policy). Please keep your own copies.
12. Failed productions and cancelled films
- If we can't finish a film or a revision round, the credits charged for it are returned to your account automatically, and we let you know by e-mail.
- You can cancel a film while it is still waiting in the queue; the credits come back straight away. Once production has begun, a film can't be cancelled — except as described in section 10 (no first cut within 72 hours).
- Returned credits keep their original expiry date; if it has passed, they are valid for another 30 days (section 5).
13. Voice-over
Voice-overs are produced with licensed text-to-speech voices from our voice library. The script comes from the storyboard you approve, and you are responsible for what it says. We may refuse scripts that imitate a real person, could mislead listeners about who is speaking, or break section 16. You may use the voice-over as part of the film, but not separately from it — for example not as a stand-alone audio product or to train or create voice models.
14. Your content and your confirmations
Your content is everything you give us or point us to: the website address, your brand (names, logos, colours, fonts), screenshots, images and files you upload, briefs, storyboard edits, scripts and revision requests. When you start a film, you confirm: “Start production now. I confirm I have the rights to the website, brand, logo and images used in this film. I understand that the credits are used once production starts and that I can't withdraw from this film after that.”
With that and whenever you use Movista, you confirm that:
- the website is yours, or its owner has authorised you to have films made from it;
- you own or are allowed to use the brand, names, logos, screenshots, images and any other material shown in the film or uploaded by you, for use in a video, including in advertising;
- your content and the statements you ask us to include are accurate and lawful and don't infringe anyone else's rights;
- where your content shows people or contains other people's personal data (for example team photos or testimonials), you are allowed to use it in this way.
Films use the fonts, images and texts of your website. Third-party material on your website — such as customer reviews, embedded media, stock images or licensed fonts — can appear in a film because it is on your site. It is up to you to make sure those licences allow use in a video; you can deselect screenshots and replace images in the brand kit.
You allow us to use your content to provide Movista to you — to create previews, brand kits, storyboards and films, to revise and deliver them, and to support you — for as long as that requires. We don't use your content for anything else.
If you use Movista as a business and a third party makes a claim against us because one of your confirmations was wrong, you will compensate us for the reasonable costs and damages that result from it.
15. Your licence to the films
You have a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use every version of a film that we make available to you, for any purpose — including commercial use and advertising, on any channel, editing, cutting, subtitling and combining it with other material — without crediting us. You may let others use the film for you, such as your agency, your clients or the platforms you publish on. Once the film is delivered, the licence is perpetual and can't be revoked, except if the payment for the credits used for the film is reversed — for example through a chargeback — and not settled. We grant this licence to the extent we hold rights in the film.
- Your own material — your brand, product, screenshots and other content — remains yours. The licence gives us no rights to it beyond section 14.
- Music, sound effects and voices come from our licensed library. You may use them as part of the film, but not separately from it.
- Our software, tools, templates, styles, designs and media library remain ours or our licensors'. Films for other customers may use the same styles, music and design elements.
- We don't use your films as a reference, in our portfolio or in our marketing without your written consent (an e-mail is enough).
16. Acceptable use
You must not use Movista to:
- make films about websites, products or brands you are not entitled to represent, or to impersonate others;
- create content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, deceptive or misleading, hateful, harassing, violent or sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers children;
- promote products or services that are illegal where the film is shown;
- create election or political campaign material;
- make a voice-over imitate a real person or suggest that a real person is speaking;
- upload malware, material you have no right to share, or other people's personal data without a legal basis;
- interfere with or overload the service, get around its limits (for example free-preview limits through several accounts), access it automatically other than through the app, or probe, scan or attack our systems;
- offer access to the app itself to others as a service, or copy it to build a competing product.
Making films for your clients as an agency is allowed, as long as you are authorised to represent their websites and brands. We may refuse or remove content that breaks these rules.
17. Suspension and closing an account
You can cancel your plan and delete your account at any time (section 6, section 4).
We may suspend or close your account, or stop a production, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if a payment is reversed or disputed, if the law or an authority requires it, or to protect the service or others from serious harm. We tell you why, unless the law prevents it, and where reasonable we give you the chance to fix the problem first.
If we close your account because of a serious breach, unused credits lapse unless the law requires a refund. If we close your account for any other reason, or stop offering Movista, we give you at least 30 days' notice where we can and refund the price of paid credits you haven't used.
18. Availability and changes to Movista
We work to keep Movista available and running smoothly, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability; maintenance and outages can happen, and production times are estimates.
We develop Movista over time and may add, change or retire film types, styles, voices, formats or other features. A film that is already in production is finished as started. Changes to the credit cost of films apply to films started after the change; the cost is always shown before you start.
19. Liability
We are liable without limitation for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for intent and gross negligence, and wherever liability cannot be limited or excluded by law.
If you use Movista as a business, our total liability under or in connection with these terms is otherwise limited, for all claims arising in any 12-month period, to the amounts you paid for Movista in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, for loss of data, or for indirect or consequential loss. You are responsible for how you use your films, including the statements in them that you approved.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or of our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it was obvious that it would happen, or if both of us knew it might happen when the contract was made. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable. Your statutory rights — for example if digital content or a service is faulty or not as described — are not affected.
20. Right of withdrawal for consumers
If you are a consumer, you have the following right of withdrawal (in the UK: right to cancel).
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from a contract for a credit pack or a plan within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day the contract is concluded — the day your payment is confirmed.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us — askVela Limited, 56 Grange View, England, LS7 4ER, e-mail hello@movista.pro — of your decision to withdraw by a clear statement, for example an e-mail. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you don't have to. To meet the deadline, it is enough to send your notice before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw, we refund the payments we received from you for that contract without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day we receive your notice. The refund is made through Dodo Payments to the payment method you used, unless we expressly agree otherwise; you are not charged any fees for it.
If you asked us to make your credits available immediately and to start providing the service during the withdrawal period, you pay for what we provided until you told us that you withdraw: the credits you had used by then for films and extra revision rounds. We therefore refund the price you paid multiplied by the share of the credits from that purchase you haven't used. The unused credits from that purchase are removed from your account, and a plan you withdraw from ends.
When the right of withdrawal ends
At checkout we ask you to confirm: “I want my credits right away and ask Movista to start providing the service before the 14-day withdrawal period ends. I understand that I lose my right of withdrawal for credits I have used, and that if I withdraw, I'm refunded only for the credits I haven't used.”
Each time you start a film you also confirm: “Start production now. I confirm I have the rights to the website, brand, logo and images used in this film. I understand that the credits are used once production starts and that I can't withdraw from this film after that.”
With these declarations, your right of withdrawal ends for the credits you use: the film made with them is supplied, or the service fully performed, at your express request (Art. 16(a) and (m) of Directive 2011/83/EU; regulations 36 and 37 of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Once all credits from a purchase are used, the right of withdrawal for that purchase has ended. We confirm your declarations, with the date and time you gave them, in the e-mail that confirms your credits.
The right of withdrawal applies to the purchase of a credit pack and to the start of a plan. It does not start again with each monthly renewal or when you change plan.
Model withdrawal form
(Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.)

21. Refunds
Within 14 days of buying a credit pack or starting a plan, every customer — business or consumer — can get a refund for the credits from that purchase they haven't used. Plans can be cancelled at any time without refunds for the rest of the billing period. Credits for films we can't finish come back automatically. The details are in our refund policy, which is part of these terms.
22. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
23. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we change Movista or the law changes. The version on this page, with its date, applies from that date on. For a running plan, we tell you about material changes by e-mail at least 30 days before they take effect; if you don't agree, you can cancel the plan before then. Changes never apply to films that have already started.
24. Law and courts
These terms and any dispute about them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there; in the UK, consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts.
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
25. Other provisions
- If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest of the terms remain in force.
- If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another company, for example if Movista is sold. We tell you if this happens; if you don't want to continue, you can delete your account and get a refund for paid credits you haven't used.
- These terms are available in English. Contracts are concluded in English.
26. Contact
Questions, complaints and notices about these terms: hello@movista.pro or our contact form. We send notices to you at the e-mail address of your account.
